Features.
The Adobeᆴ Photoshopᆴ 10.0.1 update addresses a number of issues discovered after Adobe Photoshop CS3 and Photoshop CS3 Extended (10.0) software were released.
The most significant fixes in the Photoshop 10.0.1 update include the following:
- The speed of moving objects contained within multiple layer sets has been improved.
- Converting images to CMYK using certain profiles no longer results in black files.
- The Save for Web feature now includes an option to "Include XMP" (metadata) in the settings menu within the main Save for Web interface, making the existing capability easier to access.
- When using Save For Web with "Include XMP" enabled, all XMP data is now included in the optimized file.
- Print color matching has been improved.
- Images saved as DICOM and reopened in Photoshop CS3 are no longer corrupted on PowerPCᆴ based Mac computers.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
To install the Photoshop 10.0.1 update:
1. Disable all virus protection software.
2. Ensure that the folder on your hard drive containing Photoshop is named "Adobe Photoshop CS3."
3. Double-click the "Adobe Photoshop Updater" application. If the updater reports that it cannot find the application to update, uninstall Photoshop CS3, and then reinstall the application (using the default folder name "Adobe Photoshop CS3"). To uninstall Photoshop, navigate to the "Applications/Utilites/Adobe Installers" folder and run "Add or Remove Adobe Photoshop CS3" to remove the original installation of Photoshop. Once the removal is complete, reinstall Photoshop, and then run the updater.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions.
ADDITIONAL NOTES
This updater will update only the retail version of Adobe Photoshop CS3 and not any prerelease (beta) versions. To confirm that the updater has run successfully, launch Photoshop and verify that the version number on the splash screen shows 10.0.1 and not 10.0. If it does not show 10.0.1, you may not have a retail version of Photoshop CS3. Contact your local Adobe retailer or visit the Adobe website to purchase one.
